Combined Display at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai

A thrilling Combined Display of training proficiency was organised at Officers Training Academy, Chennai on 08 Sep 2023 as a prelude to Passing Out Parade of Gentleman and Women Cadets. Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, Commandant, Officers Training Academy, was the Chief Guest. Parents of cadets of Passing Out Course and other special invitees witnessed the event. The show commenced with an Equestrian Display by cadets and Riding Instructors of the Horse Riding Club of the Academy, displaying dexterous and breathtaking maneuvers and garnered a thunderous applaud. Continuing the excitement of the spectators, well-coordinated PT Display was conducted by the Cadets and the Physical Training Instructors which epitomised the high physical training standards of the Academy. It was followed by soulful and melodious Band display mesmerizing the audience with marshal music. The show also featured a display of Army Martial Art Regime (AMAR) which has now been included as part of training in Indian Army. The Bayonet Fighting Display by Cadets displaying their proficiency in close quarter battle scenario, captivated the audience and filled them with vigour. Finally, the event was set ablaze by Kalaripayattu, a martial art form of the Kerala's Malabar region. The event concluded with the Chief Guest presenting mementos to the participants and appreciating their skills. OTA Chennai continues to attract best talent of the youth in the service of the Nation.
