National Integration Tour (NIT-2023) for Youth of Upper Assam Under Operation Sadbhavana

In order to strengthen the demographic fabric of the state of Assam, especially Upper Assam, Laipuli Brigade at Tinsukia, conducted a National Integration Tour from 03 to 13 Sep 2023 for the young Social Media Influencers under Operation SADBHAVANA 2023-24.

Twenty participants as part of tour covered four states of Eastern India over a duration of 10 days i.e. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Meghalaya & West Bengal. During the course of the tour participants interacted with significant personalities of the Army and Civil Administration to include Hon’ble Governor of Assam, Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal and senior officers of Army and Assam Rifles. They also visited various places of historical and cultural significance.

As part of it's final leg, the participants interacted with Lt Gen RP Kalita, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, GOC-in-C Eastern Command  at Kolkata on 12 Sep 23. The participants shared their experience and anecdotes about the contemporary situations in Upper Assam. The GOC-in-C emphasized on the importance of involvement of the youth to bring about lasting peace and harmony in the state of Assam and other North Eastern States. The Army Commander exhorted the influencers to contributing in Nation building by using their diverse social media platforms to spread the idea of growth and lasting peace in the complete state.
