Air Force Station Yelahanka Conducts Media Orientation Capsule

The Indian Air Force, in its endeavor to enhance media outreach, mutual understanding, and to strengthen future collaboration, is carrying out media orientation capsules at various field units under all its Commands situated across the nation. A media orientation capsule under the Training Command area of responsibility, was held at Air Force Station Yelahanka on 13 September 2023 where valuable insights about the IAF, and the functioning of its establishments located in Bengaluru, i.e Air Force Station Yelahanka, Air Force Station Jalahalli, the Air Force Technical College, and Headquarters Training Command were explained to the media personnel. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

The aim of this orientation capsule was to highlight various facets of the IAF; viz. its glorious history and rich legacy, its doctrinal precept's of aerospace power, and efforts taken by the IAF in nation building. The capsule also covered the significance of ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in major inductions by the IAF, and salient aspects regarding induction of Agniveervayu under the Agnipath scheme of the Govt of India. Detailed presentations on various such topics were given by each participating station. The event fostered the IAF's commitment towards transparency, as well as enhanced the level of communication with the media.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

While addressing the media personnel, Air Commodore Rohith Vijayadev, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Yelahanka expressed his gratitude for the media's crucial role in disseminating accurate and timely information to the public; and urged them to become a force multiplier in projecting the positive efforts of the armed forces towards nation building.
