Red Shield Division Organised Inter Village Volleyball Tournament in Churachandpur 

In order to promote sportsmanship and engage youth in constructive activities by shifting their focus from prevailing situation, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division organised an Inter Village Volleyball Tournament in Churachandpur district of Manipur.

The initiative was aimed at achieving maximum participation of youths from different villages, wherein, youths from more than eight villages located along the buffer zone in hill areas, to include Muolhoih, Songdo, T Chawangphai, Mongjang, Gothal, Phuoisanbung, P Geljang and Tonglhang of Churachandpur District participated in the Inter Village Volleyball tournament from 26 -30 October 2023.

Assam Rifles joined hand with locals in preparation and maintenance of sports ground which was not being utilised in past and provided trained staff for coaching and assistance in conduct of the event. The event, spanned over five days, concluded with final match between Songdo and Muolhoih village on 30 October 2023. The Winner and Runner-up teams were felicitated with trophy and sports items.
