Assam Rifles Organises A Wreath Laying Ceremony For Its Soldier

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) org a wreath laying ceremony on 07 Nov 2023 for G/46125 Rfn/GD (Late) Lukhis Lama, of 4 Assam Rifles who was killed in action during  a vicious  attack on the ROP party at Mao Road (Manipur) on 07 Nov 1957. In retaliation to insurgent attack, the soldier sustained gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries, thereby laying down his life as supreme sacrifice for the nation.
