Army Celebrates Diwali And Provides Relief Material At Relief Camps In Manipur 

In keeping with the unwavering commitment to ameliorate the sufferings and extend a helping hand to the affected populace in remote areas, Red Shield Division of Indian Army celebrated Diwali at Mangkot Chepu in Ukhrul district, Leimakhong and Moirangpurel. Army also provided basic and necessary relief material including blankets and cooking utensils to Relief Camp at Naodaukhong and Lukoipat villages of Bishnupur district on 13 Nov 2023.

The initiative of Indian Army reinforces it's effort to contribute in ensuring basic amenities to displaced persons in Relief Camps for the winters. Army personnel also interacted with locals, occupants and administrators of Naodaukhong Relief Camp in order to ascertain problems faced and plan further support. The event was highly appreciated by the locals, who expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army for continued support in these troubled times. Indian Army remains committed to help people and spare no efforts towards ushering in normalcy at the earliest.
