Indian Navy Oganises Medical Camp at Cheppala Uppada

A multi-speciality medical camp was conducted by INHS Kalyani under the aegis of HQENC at Cheppala Uppada Village, Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam on 18 Nov 23, as part of Navy Day Celebrations-2023. The camp led by Surg Cdr Oommen Nainan had an enthusiastic participation by the villagers and an old-age home with over 316 beneficiaries having been screened by Medical Officers and Specialists in Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Eye, Skin and Dental.

Informative talks and demonstrations on Basic Life Support (BLS) training and prevention of endemic diseases for school children and adults were also conducted by expert ORTs and Health Inspectors from INHS Kalyani and SHO Vizag. The camp was ably supported by staff of INS Kalinga and INS Karna.
